If you haven’t been a beta reader before, here’s a quick run-down on what’s expected.
I’ve spent such a long time reading and re-reading over the story, that sometimes I can start reading and seeing things that aren’t there.
So it’s important that you let me know if you see any spelling mistakes or missing words.
I’ll also send you a feedback form around 1 week after I send you the ebook file, which will ask you what you liked or didn’t like about the story, whether there was anything that was confusing, that sort of thing.
The beta reading process happens right before the final edits that precede publication, so you’ll be the first to read the story before the general public.
I’d also love it (although it’s not required) if you would either provide a quote about what you thought about the book that I can use for my book promotions on social media, or a review on Goodreads or any other site where you buy your books. And I’d be eternally grateful if you let people you think might like the story that the book is available.
Word of mouth is the best way people find my books, and I am always grateful when I hear from readers that one of my books was recommended to them by family or friends.
