Postcard Plebiscite

Want to join me in sending a postcard to Canberra to urge the Government to have a free vote in Parliament instead of wasting money on a non-binding, non-compulsory postal plebiscite?

Here’s how:

Find your Senators and Member of Parliament here.
(You can use the search bar or click on your state to find them)

Write a short message on your postcard(s) explaining why you’re sending it and then address your postcards to the PO boxes as follows:

(check this link if you want to address Ministers correctly)

For Members of the House of Representatives, including the Prime Minister:

[Member of Parliament Name]
PO Box 6022
House of Representatives
Parliament House
Canberra ACT 2600

For Senators:

Senator [name of Senator]
PO Box 6100
Senate
Parliament House
Canberra ACT 2600

**Important** This is in no way replaces the actual plebiscite, should it go ahead. To make sure you’re enrolled, and your address is up-to-date, head over to the Australian Electoral Commission website here:

And don’t forget, if you post photos or videos of you posting your postcards on social media, please include #postcardplebiscite and #marriageequality so we can cheer each other on. You can tag me in you posts too. I’m @srsilcox on twitter and instagram.

Let’s flood Canberra with postcards!
